Meet Lumir C: Candle Powered LED Lamp
Lumir C has now achieved a pledge of $50,000 in less than a week.
NY, Feb 2, 2016 – Lumir C is a candle powered LED lamp. Created by Lumir, a startup based in Seoul and New York, the Lumir C raised over $80K on Kickstarter so far heading up for 200% of its goal.
This lighthouse shaped lamp doesn’t have a cord or battery pack to light up its LED bulbs. What it need is just one candle. This can be used as an accessory likely to fit right into your décor.
Lumir CEO Jay Park said, “I was traveling in India in 2014 and shocked to learn that more than a fifth of the country’s 1.2 billion people still lack regular access to electricity. And that was our starting point to invent Lumir C which turns candle’s heat into electrical light.”
Lumir C is now available on Kickstarter. A pledge of $59 puts you in line for one matte white Lumir C lamp in either style. Additional color options are available at higher pledge tiers.
