Hi! My names Anthony and I work for a company named Camelot Pewter and I’m here today for your help in raising money to purchase the company for my current owner. My owner, Sam, will be retiring this year and I intend to purchase the company and the property.
Here at Camelot Pewter we manufacture handmade pewter into a variety of items and offer personalized engraving. We don’t just engrave on pewter either! We also do glass etching and engrave onto marble.
However, there is a limited amount of companies left in America that produce handmade pewter. I have high hopes to renew the thoughts of pewter into something everyone would want. We already sell plates and cups, the usual dinnerware. I have plans to also expand into many other areas, including jewelry, different types of key rings and photo frames, as well as chess pieces in the future.
Other than pewter, we are mainly an engraving company. We already engrave on pewter, glass and marble, but I’m looking into wood as well. That’s perfect an awesome wedding invitation, or even a chess board to go along with those pieces!
I’ve worked for Camelot Pewter for the past 12 years and I have a real passion for it. I want this company to grow and prosper into something that I can pass along to my daughter and her to her children.
- What is pewter?
Pewter is a metal alloy, which means it’s a mixture of two or more metals. The major component of pewter is tin, make up more than 90%, and the rest is antimony, copper, and sometimes bismuth. - Why is it so expensive?
Tin is the fourth most precious and expensive metal in the world, coming in after platinum, gold and silver. - Why use pewter compared to other metals?
Pewter does not tarnish like other metals, like silver.
It’s solid, not plated, which helps when having it engraved.
While it is costly, it’s cheaper than other precious metals, while still looking great.
