Crafted Boutique, LLC: A unique retail shop in Boston, MA that specializes in artisan-crafted gifts, accessories, home decor, jewelry and more

My name is Stephany! I’m 28 years old and currently live in Medford, MA. I spent half my life in VT and the other half in NC. It was a unique experience growing up in both areas, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I’m super close to my family and love spending time with them as often as possible. I love to paint, sew and knit. It’s been my driving force behind opening this shop. And I love animals! I have a beagle pug names Sam. He’s my pride and joy! (He’s also in the picture of me knitting.)

I was lucky enough to gain a lot of retail experience through various opportunities throughout my career. During these opportunities, I was able to work as both an owner and as a personnel manager. It’s my dream to take these experiences and apply them to owning my own business.

The shop will carry products from artists in the New England area. Not only will the shop carry artisan-crafted products but it will also provide a unique and top quality shopping experience for our customers. The shop will be affordable for all budgets.

They say that when one door closes, another one or a window opens. I’ve always known I wanted to own my own business since my family ran a scrapbooking store. The “window” and opportunity opened for me to make that happen now. I’m really proud of this shop because of it’s mission to support other local artists and the community it’s in. I’m finally able to take my creative side and apply all the business experience I have gained through the years.

In the future, I’d love to expand the shop and offer art classes held by different artists. The possibilities are endless!

This loan will help get my business running and is huge! This loan will be used for purchasing equipment needed in the shop for sales and security. It will help to increase revenue and profit by having the proper POS system for sales and reports and to also have a security system to prevent theft.
