Deputy electricity minister César Hernández Ochoa and executives from key private companies will take part in BNamericas’ Electric Power summit in Mexico City.

The BNamericas 4th Mexico Electric Power Summit, to be held on February 10-11 in the Sheraton María Isabel, in Mexico City, will analyze the state of the electricity business and will highlight what to expect this year as the reform continues to transform the industry.
The deputy electricity minister of Mexico, César Hernández Ochoa, will be a key participant at the event, which has more than 40 confirmed speakers. The agenda also focuses on the role of the private sector in the industry, and that is why the event will be opened by Angel Alonso, general director of Acciona Energía México.
Juan Ignacio Rubiolo, president and general director of AES México; Gerardo Serrato, commercial director of Intergen and Nicola Melchiotti, VP for Mexico and Central America of Enel Green Power, will also be sharing their views with more than 200 attendees.
Natural gas is also a key part of the new energy model in Mexico, and BNamericas’ event will analyze the transport and storage projects being developed. Hernández Ochoa will explain the impact the reform is having on the gas market, and he will be sharing views with David Madero, general director of Cenagas; René Ramírez, deputy director for Products and Industrial Fuels of Pemex Transformación Industrial, and Alejandro Villarreal, Concessions and Investment Projects director of Arendal.
José de Jesús Rodríguez, Gas Natural Fenosa’ CFO; Enrique Nieto, Sustainable Projects director of Nacional Financiera and Michael Harrington, Energy director for Actis México (Zuma Energía), will analyze the financial hurdles of the various multi-billion dollar projects to be built in the coming years.
Government officials, regulators, generation, transmission and distribution companies will participate in the event, as well as project owners, providers, and executives from commercial and financial areas.
