Fallen Diggers Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation that researches missing military personnel from WW1 and WW2.
Since its inception, Fallen Diggers has identified 13 unknown soldiers from WW1 cemeteries and currently have more cases before the CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission). Our organisation has also conducted battlefield archaeology around Pozieres, France. This was the scene to Australia’s greatest casualty rate in any theatre of war.
Fallen Diggers has been researching Flight A9-304 which vanished in April 28th 1943 off the coast of King Island with all on board missing. Through our research, we have found the possible location of Flight A9-304, four miles off the coast of King Island.
Southern Ocean Exploration Group has offered their services to find the wreckage and to give the familes of the following men some closure.
SGT Edward John Offer Pilot
FSGT James Henry Catterick Navigator
FSGT Edward Waterman W/AG
FSGT Graham Charles Nichols W/AG
It has been 73 years since Flight A9-304 disappeared, and it is time to give the families some peace of mind in knowing where they rest.
