I am a lifelong collector of experiences. I choose to believe that all dogs do indeed go to Heaven and that laughter should never die. I live in my red lipstick and when asked what I would take along on a deserted island, I always answer: my passport. I think the best education you can get is traveling and experiencing new cultures, eating new foods, and making new friends.
Jack & Lola was born out of my lifelong love of design and all things unique. I’m a huge believer in surrounding oneself with pieces that evoke happiness and comfort and thought; and I have always wanted to curate a collection of just that for others. With a background in architecture and interior design I’m especially drawn to craftsmanship and artisanal goods and my grandparents – Jack and Lola – always inspired curiosity in me. Jack was a lover of coffee and I seek to replicate that feeling of warmth and welcome throughout the shop. Lola is a lover of traveling. She has spent her whole life exploring the world over and collecting unique oddities along the way. She inspires the individuality of the shop. Together I hope to make them proud, wherever their hearts may be.
The loan is going to be instrumental to the daily operations of the shop. Half of the amount of the loan will be used to purchase new inventory immediately which can sell at 50% profit margins. The increase in revenue will then sustain another inventory order. The other half of the loan amount will be used to increase our marketing efforts and events therefore bringing more people into the store and increasing brand recognition and sales. Bi-weekly in-store events and workshops with local artists will also help increase the sense of local community that surrounds the neighborhood.
