Surgical Serenity Solutions provides pre-programmed headphones to surgical patients or patients undergoing chemotherapy, dialysis, or any other anxiety-provoking medical procedure

I am a 67-year-old Grandma who has a Ph.D in musicology, masters in piano performance and masters in clinical social work. I have over 40 years of professional experience as a college professor, clinical therapist, solo and chamber music performer and composer.

Since 1990, I have been in the field of Music Medicine. In addition to conducting clinical research with the University of Louisville, I led the development of using music in a hospital setting at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. I have founded three companies: Healing Music Enterprises, Crescent Hill Counseling, and Surgical Serenity Solutions.

In 2005, I had the idea to create programmable headphones for surgery patients. In 2008 I received a United States patent on my unique process and in 2009 I began selling the pre-programmed, cordless headphones.

My business provides pre-programmed headphones to both individuals who are having surgery and to hospitals who can provide them to each surgical patient, as well as to patients who are undergoing chemotherapy, dialysis, or any other anxiety-provoking medical procedure. We are also getting into the dental surgery business, as well as plastic surgery spas.

So far, I have self-funded with home equity and business credit cards but now need outside funding to purchase my first order of headphones directly from China.

This loan will pay for the the purchasing, importing, taxes and branding of 500 new pairs of headphones. This is 1/5 of what our previous line cost.

We have already found another company locally who will help us package and fulfill the orders as they come in.
