As a kid, I always had a passion for flowers. As a daughter of two US Marines, we were constantly moving. I’ve lived in 6 different states, but spent 12 years in Memphis, TN where I spent a lot of time helping my mom in the garden. I love working with colors and being creative. I went to school for Digital Art in Tucson, AZ. At that time I was bartending in a nightclub. The owner of the nightclub also had a chain of flower shops called Roses And More. He convinced me to come work with him during the day and he would teach me how to design. I began working part time at the flower shop in Tucson, AZ and bartending at night. A few years later, I moved to Laguna Beach, CA to open the Montage Resort as a bartender in their 5 star restaurant. I continued to work during the day as a florist at Stems.

It’s been my dream to move to San Francisco and open my own flower shop. During the last ten years I have worked at Polk St Florist here in San Francisco with my good friend Silvia. As a ten year North Beach resident and bartender in San Francisco, I have made many lasting relationships with the North Beach community and the Restaurant/Bar Industry. I am looking to expand my reputation and passion as a florist to my neighbors on Polk Street and greater San Francisco. Now the time has come for Silvia to retire and transfer her knowledge, location and loyal customer base to me:)

This loan will help me to make an impression on the community by providing a face-lift to the existing business. A fresh look and clean, organized environment will help attract and promote new business with the younger generation. By updating the existing software and computer system, I will be able to move forward with the newest technology to better serve my existing clients.
